Join me as we expand upon my Painterly Petals class* and go deeper into creating an abstract background to paint our floral on to. I will share with you some of my favorite techniques for creating interesting backgrounds, using ephemera, drips and incorporating writing in the painting. We will use reference photos and do some fun sketch studies prior to heading to the canvas. Looking at value and layering in our paintings.
